Earth 101 by Xiomara Griffin

Earth 101 is a fictional nonfiction graphic novel by ASC Graduate Student, Xiomara Griffin. Earth 101 tells the story of a human who survives the destruction of Earth and is rescued by another galactic species. This species will use this human to learn what led up to Earth’s destruction and how to avoid the same mistakes on their planet. It focuses on the environmental destruction that is currently facing our planet.

Hello! My name is Xiomara Griffin! I am 33 years old and enjoying life to the fullest (within Covid guidelines ☺). I love to draw, write, and anything to do with animals and the environment. I graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor’s in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and a minor in Psychology. I am currently a Graduate student at Agnes Scott College earning my Master’s in Writing and Digital Communications. The project that I am currently working on is a graphic novel that is “fictional nonfiction”. The story will contain real facts in a fictional setting. It is about a human who survives the destruction of Earth and is rescued by another galactic species. This species will use this human to learn what led up to Earth’s destruction and how to avoid the same mistakes on their planet. I want the novel to focus on the environmental destruction that is currently facing our planet. My goal is to raise awareness and encourage change to start a positive impact on our environment and planet. I have designed some characters in collaboration with my husband who is responsible for the artwork. I hope you enjoy my future endeavors! Thank you for stopping by.
